Movie Trailer Thursday: Big Fan

Happy Thursday and as promised here is another new movie trailer from our friends at Trailer Addict. Patton Oswalt is one of those comedians who I never thought would be big in movies. He seemed as far removed from Eddie Murphy, Jim Carey, and all the other stand ups who made the move from comedy club stage to big screen and never looked back. Well, that may change after Big Fan - check it out...



That looks really good to me - and like the kind of performance that could change Oswalt's career (which is a shame because he is a GREAT stand up). I hope the entire movie is as dramatic as the trailer and that the "stalker" aspect is not the main focus. We will see when Big Fan hits screens on August 29th.

WTF Wednesday: Coors Light soon to have a can for binge drinkers

Happy Wednesday to you all. Sorry again for the long spaces between posts lately.

Here is a story that can get us going again - Coors Light will soon introduce a can with a second tab on it for "shotgunning." I can only imagine the marketing meeting where this idea came up and all the ponzie executives agreeing that all the kids would go crazy for it.

I am not a big fan of beer - and even less of a fan of binge drinking. This can really serves no other purpose - you don't need to shotgun a beer to drink with a BBQ burger, or when you are watching the game with your bros - you only need to do it when you want to get f-ed up fast. Nice to see Coors is catering to this audience. I honestly cannot wait to see how this is marketed.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July - I will be much less busy on the coming weeks and will get back to a normal posting schedule (for reals this time I swear).

Movie Trailer Thursday Friday: Daybreakers

Well, better late than never. Here is a trailer for a movie that hopefully will make vampires cool again Daybreakers which has a killer cast and a very interesting premise - check it out...



Looks good - and a hell of a lot cooler than the pissy emo teen vamps of Twilight. Daybreakers comes out on January 8th, 2010 - a LONG time from now - but hopefully it is well worth the wait.

BUSY again

Sorry for the lack of links last week - we are starting our Summer Orientation program at work and I have been MUCH busier than I expected. I will have a new movie trailer on Thursday of this week and should go back to normal scheduling next week.

Movie Trailer Thursday: 500 Days of Summer

Happy Thursday to you all - and today another movie trailer from Trailer Addict. I was torn this week between the new Martin Scorsese horror film Shutter Island and this film 500 Days of Summer. Shutter Island looks great - but honestly I am getting tired of Leonardo DiCaprio being in every new Scorsese film - enough already! Looks good - Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are a great combo and the movie looks like a nice change from the guy is a dick to the girl formula Hollywood usually sticks with. 500 Days of Summer comes out in about a month on July 17th.
