The bright side is my player still works like a charm and the HD DVD discs are sure to get dirt cheap very soon. I will not buy a Blu Ray player until they get all the bugs worked out (not anytime soon in other words) and good old standard DVD's are cheaper than ever right now as well.
Anyone who like me picked up a sub-$100 HD DVD player can still rest easy knowing that the few HD DVD's they own (I have 8 now and my get a few more with the closeout sales online) still work like they always have and the players make regular DVD's look great.
Goodbye HD DVD - you will not be forgotten... Back with more later this afternoon.
